Process:



Washed with Meguiars GC

Clayed with Meguiars Clay Kit w/Clay Magic Lube

O.C. via PC on an orange LC pad speed 6

O.P. via PC on an orange LC pad speed 5

J.W. Prime via PC on a white LC pad speed 5 (gave me some problems..)

J.W. AJ-T by foam applicator (also had a tough time taking off, new to JW)

Meguiars Hot Shine tire gel was pleasantly surprised by this stuff for the trim and porous vinyl/plastic on this car!

Great work on the STi! I definitely love the side-by-side comparison pictures as well as the "all-done" picture; great photography.



NeonStatus - He used Optimum Compound followed by Optimum Polish and Jeff Werkstatt Prime.
 
Great job. When you set up the halogens to take a picture, how do you capture the severity of the marks? How far away do you set the halogens up, and special settings on the camera, ect?

I set up the halogens about 2 feet away from the car, sat right next to them with my Rebel XT. My camera lets me manual focus so I can focus on the reflection of the clear coat or try to focus on the depth of the paint, if I play around I can either try and focus on the light outline being crisp or the light bouncing off the clear (scratches) being crisp.
