Getting ready for a car show

New car show guy here, got a question for you guys. I washed and Zainoed the car today and now it is under the cover in the garage awaiting another coat of polish next week. my question is would you wash the car again before you polish, or can I just use the Zaino detail spray when I take it out from under the cover. I will not drive the car before then and the garage door will stay shut. The car is a black Mustang GT. Thanks for the responses in advance guys. I work 60 hrs a week and am trying to get the car ready around work.
 
I'm trying to help and not criticize, but I get really annoyed when people use the term "coat of polish". To me, polish is a process and not a coat because you remove all the product after 'polishing'. A coat of wax, on the other hand, is perfectly reasonable. Also, I'm not too familiar with Zaino, but it is a sealant, correct? There's no point in sealing if you are just going to polish it off.



So, just for clarification... You washed and sealed then plan on polishing next week?

Eitherway, if you are doing it in processes with covering it between, you can polish multiple times on different days with just a detail spray between. No need to seal or wax until the day before the show if that's how your schedule works.
 
He is useing the term polish in this case to mean Zaino. Sinse the car is under a car cover you wont need to rewash.If it will make you feel better use a little Z6 before the Zaino.
 
I would either wash it to get rid of the dust, or use Z-6 to cut less time before applying another coat of polish grrr... sealant (Z2p/Z5p).
 
check if you have dust in there and decide if you want to wash or not. QD should be fine if dust is less, which I will assume less since it's covered.

For some reason Zaino likes to call some of their sealants "Polishes" which is likely why he referred to it as such.
 
Yea 9935, just use Zainos QD (Z6) and you will be fine. I know Sal calls his sealants polishes, I dont know why either.....



Post some pics of the car up when you get a chance, I love those Ponies.
