getting more pressure from your garden hose?

What are ways to get better pressure from you garden hose, without the use of a pressure washer?attachments, sprayers, tips etc.

I have a very similar one from R&S, I am under the impression that all these fire style nozzles are not created equal. Mine is ok but I get the same amount of pressure from a reg. trigger spray.

You don't say what you are trying to achieve but technically a nozzle will not change the pressure.

What it can do is change the spray pattern where a fan spray is great for remove soap while washing a pencil size stream will concentrate all the water in a small area and it can dislodge caked on mud but the water pressure in the hose remains the same so if you really want to increase the water pressure you will need a pump that is capable of making more pressure than what you currently have.
A nozzle can change how effective it is at certain jobs but it will not increase the water pressure.

I have heard that the Foam master II reaches 90 PSI. what would a regular hose with a reg garden sprayer put out?

I'm looking to get a little bit more kick for lower panels and wheels, without dragging the pressure washer out.

If changing the spray patter does not help, you could insure you use a 5/8-in diameter hose, be sure the faucet really is fully open, then check your overall water pressure in your house.

Houses usually running over a public source often have a pressure reducing valve somewhere. If you have a well system, you are going to have to check your tank pressure.

I think you want 60 to 70 psi in the main line minimum to get decent pressure.

I have city water and I have a pressure gauge on my water manifold for the underground sprinkler system and it is between 45 and 50 psi depending on the time of day.
When demand is high the pressure will drop slightly.
As I have already posted the nozzle will change the spray pattern and depending what you are doing you may be able to make it work better but the water pressure did not change you can concentrate it into a very small stream and it will hit with more force but the water pressure in you system did not change.

What hose nozzle is everyone using?

I had regular garden one with the big round tip with like 6 settings, it broke so I'm currently using a black fire style nozzle from R&S Strauss. It adjustable by turning the tip, from stream, to almost a pour.

I am using that 6 or 7 spray pattern nozzle type that seems to be made by one company in China for many brands.

What you have is as good as anything but if you want to blast stuff louse buy one of those funnel shaped things to put on the end of the hose.
It will make a stream the size of a lead pencil and dislodge nearly anything stuck to the car including caked on mud.
Other alternative is buy a pressure washer.
First option cost a buck second about 200 bucks your choice:cheers:

Funny I posted this seen something on TV the other day, an infomercial that looked pretty convincing it was some kind of pressure wand you hook up to your hose. If anyone gives this thing a shot, let me know. I forget the name of the thing.
