getting more opticoat 2.0???

i don't think opti guard is that much harder it just cures faster than opti coat.

Really? I've been using Opti-Guard for over a year and just tried the 2.0 the other day and it was night and day difference....at least in the 95-100 heat and high humidity anyway. ;)

On hot days I had a hard time doing 1/4-1/2 the hood with OG as it started to cure before I could finish my checker board application patter...overlapping once it's started to cure results in smearing which can be a PITA. With the 2.0 I could do the whole hood in one shot.

i've only use the opti guard, so what differences did you notice. its quite humid here, been cooling off a little lately but still in the 80-90's.

I felt the curing time window was noticeably increased and it was easier to level out the high spots. I've only done one car with the 2.0 and the only reason I tried it was because I'm doing a review/application article for the DI blog. I didn't feel I was being true to the article/review by using OG for a OC 2.0 article...the difference was noticeable when recording my videos too. :D

So in a sense your original statement is accurate I guess, but side by side is definitely a noticeable difference, and for inexperienced users the 2.0 is the way to go. ;)

Opti-Coat arrived today. The amount in the syringe is 40ml. I ordered the consumer version. Hmmm...

Where did you order it from? Does the label actually say Opti-Coat 2.0 or Opti-Guard?

1) DetailersDomain.

2) Label states "Opti-Coating".

The package included 40mL of product, the applicator, and a syringe tip. Hope I didn't blow $$ on a fake.

Sounds like the pro version. Not aware of any consumer syringes over 20cc....maybe Chris can chime in....

I'm not allowed to do product support until we are paying sponsors...which may not happen, so you'll have to contact me another way if you want assistance.

Sorry

This 20mL syringe is jive. How do i get more of this stuff at once? I can normally get 2-3 cars out of one syringe but twice now I've had to leave a job unfinished b/c I ran out of OC

Do you think one syringe will be enough to do an entire Mini RV?
