Getting a lot of Microfiber without spending to much

I would like your advice. I need more Microfiber towels for polish removal, LSP removal. I think trying to stretch the use of my current "good" towels is leading to scratches. Can you recommend a pack or bundle with "a lot" of towels that would be suitable for polish, LSP, and quick detailer, without going broke.

Here is what I have so far.
Complete Microfiber Kit,
Microfiber Towel Combo

I realize it's a bit unconventional, but I almost exclusively use Sam's Club MF towels. They work great and they're cheap; what more could I ask for?

Only exception to that are Waffle Weave towels, and most of the ones I have are Meguiar's Water Magnets.

Microfibertech has good prices for towels, some of which, rather coincidentally, look pretty similar to those sold by other sellers at higher prices...

I have those, and they where the culprit. Maybe I am not taking care of them properly. I use CG micro wash, wash on hot dry on low heat. Maybe I am rubbing to hard!

A long time ago I was interested money in microfibers and purchased them from the bulk discount stores. It was my experience, that while many of these "less expensive" Chinese built towels worked well once (if I was lucky twice), as soon as they were washed they would start scratching paint.

It has been my experience, particularly when polishing paint for hours and hours and hours, that I wanted to have a durable, long lasting microfiber that could would last. The last thing I wanted to do was damage the paint during the final wipe off.

I agree so what do you recommend a good bang for the buck? I want to get around 24-36 of them.

I guess I should elaborate .. i do have 1 pack of sams club towels. I also have quite a few cobra towels, the one kit that comes with a few AG detail bag, and another that had the waffle weave and polishing assortment. I have used the Sams when removing the first step in a 2 step polish and noticed marring. I did this trying to stretch the use of the few better towels for later in the process. Hence I need more polish, lsp, and quick detailer suitable towels. I'm tired of running out.

Guess what ??? They are. I have purchased from both vendors and the tags are the same. !!!!!!!!!!!! Which means that the same company makes/produces the towels for them. I review all towels for cost, are they a 70/30 or 75/25 blend, what is the towel going to be used for, etc.

I use regular liquid Tide detergent to wash with warm water, dry on "extra low" heat, and I have never had problems even after several washes.

You're probably exactly right, you're rubbing too hard. :inspector:

For the price and durability at the price point I still go with Euro Shag towels. In time they tend to Pill the fibers together, but then I just use them for other parts of the car. They work out to be about 2.50$ a towel.

there are only so many manufactors of MF towel, at SEMA I always talk with the companies there the price point in bulk for towels is scary low. I think one them was like 75cents per towel in bulk and IRC that same towel is sold by _____ for like 5.25$

Cheers,
GREG

for some pretty nice drying towels go to wal mart where the rubbermaids, dish rack/strainer's and drawer liners are at and grab some "dish rack drying towels" they work great, i prefer the normal terry weave ones(they have waffle weave style as well) they are dual sided 80/20 microfiber same nap on both with a foam core, they are comparable to cobra guzzler hd, at 2.98 each for the terry weave and 3.97 for the waffle weaves there a great buy and don't mar paint from my testings. for really cheap best would be buy direct from manufacturer in korea with your exact specifications :P but in most cases with microfiber you pay for quality, but to me theres a ceiling to the quality yet the price is no ceiling if you get what i mean ;)

I bought some towels yesterday from a local detail supply. Their description was "super plush" 70/30. Price worked out to $2.08/towel, satin edge, 16X24. Pretty decent, not as fluffy as the cobra gold satin edge. Much nicer than my Sams club. Washed them last night with CG microfiber cleaner we'll see. Altbough they looked exactly like the Cobra they are not of the same quality. Made in china, not sure if there is any difference in a korea made product.
