Sorry, no pics today, but will have them probably tomorrow.

Black 09 CTS with HEAVY swirls and holograms, using the PC XP with LC orange on speed 6 with Menz SIP. Never got 90%+ from one stage before!! This is crazy! And it has a great gloss and no micromarring either. Just thought I'd share ;)

Awesome, Jeff!

To 98% of eyes, that's PERFECT. The only thing you are missing out on is some gloss from a true finishing polish, but SIP looks great too. Now do a section with 85rd :xyxthumbs Just don't be too tempted to do the rest.

Its allowed me to do corrections I didn't think were possible with only 2 steps.... Its made me some good money. I'd call that worth it ;)

I've one stepped some Black paints before with M105 and the TUF-BUF Black Lambswool pad on a Festool Rotex and finished LSP capable.

Mind you, these were time-crunch type details and, for my liking, could've used some finishing, but I got 90% of what I wanted and was sufficiently impressed with 105.

If that's the case, I might have to get rid of my M105/M205 :nervous2:!

I hear many good things about this SIP stuff...

SIP fits comfortably between 105 and 205. No harm in having both.

I did a couple new test spots with tape and again got 90%+ It might be 95, but I'll let you guys judge if it is...

Got some good pics too. Should have them up in 3-4hrs.

Looks great Jeff. I find that some polishes will not be effected by 1-2 straight IPA wipedowns. I like to do 4-5 on at least one section of the car.

Use EZ Creme Glaze. If your surface looks good after that, it's good. I have done 5-6 Prep sol wipe downs and NOTHING. Then did EZ Creme Glaze and some came back. That product is really packed with cleaners.

Clarifacation........ On another site that you just joined, you have chronicled your use of CG acrylic and how much you like the results and not a peep from a certain four guys who asserted that when I use it the product it fills in defects thus I am not correcting the finish.......so I was pointing out to some and them how silly they look at this point in their sipping of haterade towards me thus the "Scoreboard" remark.

In a quest to try and make me look bad at any cost they exposed a contradiction in what was said and once something is on the forums it is there forever unless mods delete the post, like an assertion the product and I suck if I use it and no problem with the aforementioned product if you use it...... :nixweiss

Ok thanks, Bob! I knew you were going somewhere in that direction was just trying to make sure. I have joined a few forums in the last few months, send me a PM and tell me more, tell me more!! Although I have a feeling I know who you are talking about and their little group. LOL

Hope your holidays are going well.

Disclaimer....I have no experience with EZ creme glaze.

I have looked at the product discription on the DI site (it come up first on google.)

This is what it says:

Properly preps your paints surface for sealing with the acrylic based glaze

Easy to apply and remove when applied properly, which is as thin as possible

Best applied with a foam applicator pad and removed with a microfiber towel

Product Description

The EZ Creme Glaze is a great way to quickly add lots of shine back to your paint. With just one application you will add dramatic depth and gloss back to your paint that makes the paint look very deep. Apply the EZ Creme Glaze by hand or with a buffer and you'll instantly notice how it helps fill in imperfections, add more shine and protect your paint. This special formula helps fill in and slight imperfections like swirls or ultra fine scratches, so they are not visible to the naked eye. The shine left behind is quite remarkable and gives you an unbelievable amount of gloss that really grabs the light for maximum reflection. Best of all this glaze offers some of the strongest protection ever put in a glaze. The polymers included in this formula bond with all clear coats and paint jobs for valuable protection against harmful weather conditions, acid rain, road grime, UV rays, etc. The versatility of this product makes it extremely valuable for any detailer to add it to their routine. Use it after applying polishes and before applying a pure sealant or wax. No matter where you use the EZ Creme Glaze in your routine you are sure to add more shine, gloss and protection with this easy to use formula.

I don't understand how you can use this product as a "paint cleaner" to evaluate proper paint correction when they say it has fillers in it. :nixweiss

You also have to remember that people who sell products from other companies are only using the descriptions that they are pretty much giving.

People who sell CG stuff are only going to know what CG says on their site. There have been numerous times where 5-6 wipe downs did nothing and EZ Creme cleaned even further and showed a few imperfections remaining.

Let's face it, how many time do us pro's listen to the product description and directions? I sure don't.

I am also not saying that it can't fill, if you put it on and only work it for 10-15 seconds I'm sure it will. Fully work it into the paint until it almost absorbs into it and your set. I only use it to prep the surface before any sealant is applied. If I needed to fill, I would use something else.

Just give it a shot, it really is a great product. Works great on glass to.

Well.....

Here is a quote from the CG site:

engineered to work with your paint and clear coat bonding to surfaces reducing slight imperfections in the paint.

I would expect CG to know whats in their product, does it fill, does it protect, ect.

When using any new product, I do read the description and directions. If someone has an issue using a product, the first thing that comes to my mind is, "Did you read the directions?"
