I'm hoping to have the Z rolling on these by early '08...bronze 18" Nismo LMGT4s. I'm new to aftermarket rims, so I need a good product that won't harm them. Suggestions?

any sealant will work well... poorboys makes one specifically for wheels... or you could use any of the zaino ones (z2, z5, zcs), klasse sealant, etc... is that you're z? just wondering why the front lip is on such a slant? y didn't u go with Volks?

I have had good luck with p21s gel to clean wheels and Optimum no whipe sealent to protect. By using OS it makes it much easier to aplly no need to buff off excess like other products.

I use os after every wash and dont need a wheel cleaner because the wheels come clean with normal soap and water

Or onr

Keep them clean and all you need is regular car shampoo to clean them weekly. No need for a dedicated wheel cleaner. Protect with any quality sealant, Klasse, DP, PB, JetSeal, Zaino, etc., etc.

I use regular soap and a product called FIREGLAZE for my chrome rims. Fireglaze works wonders!!! I wonder how it would look on the car. It repels dirt, water, and gunk from building up on the rims. You can use ONR after you have applied Fireglaze for a quick touch up. QD's just bead up on the Fireglaze. Thats how slick this stuff is.

Yes, it's my Z. I'm not sure about the slant, I guess that's just the way it fits. That picture just really captures the angle I guess, it doesn't look that slanted in the pic below. And as far as whees, Volks are too expensive and everything on the car is already Nismo, so I'm sticking with it :)

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Nice looking Lemans Sunset Z.

All the above suggestion will work. As long as you coat them with something it helps make cleaning them a breeze.

Bored at work, so here's an update:

Wheels are here and getting put on the car as soon as my tires arrive (should be mid-week or so). The only products I have to seal the wheels are Z5, OPS, or Meg's #21. Which one should I go with? I'm leaning towards the Z5 because I don't use it much anymore.

Nice wheels!

For my A-Spec wheels on my TL, simply use a WOWA product like OS, or Z-CS maintained with a QD like NXT.

During a wash, all the dirt and brake dust wash off easily as soon as the MF or brush touches the wheel.

What tires are you planning on going with?

As for the products you have at your disposal for sealing the rims, I cannot make a recommendation as I haven't used any of them on wheels.

I would suggest Collinite 845, however. :)

Hey, those look like they'll *REALLY* compliment your car! Good choice. Heh heh, all those holes are gonna take a bit of cleaning though.

I *think* I'd go with the Zaino, multiple layers and use some kind of spray after each wash.

Great looking car! Be sure to post photos with the new wheels.

I've used OPS on my wheels with great results, but for your new wheels you don't need the cleaning action so go with Z5.

I ordered a set of Toyo Proxes T1Rs, 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear.

Thanks for all the recommendations and compliments.
