I'm with you on this one JC.
I have used foreign lancers with no problem.
You just have to know what to look for,
and how to pick the right ones.
As for good vs fast vs cheap, jm is talking about his
company spending 10 to 15 thousand for seo a month.
I have had good and fast and cheap.
Obviously, a developer can get a stick up his butt, and have
disdain for anything budget. To be blunt, many detailers will be
fine with a site for 300 dollars. How many really need one for
750 to 1500? This thread was to suggest an alternative for
detailers.
Obviously, this is for those starting off. This is also not the
"worst advice ever" as the protest by JM stated. 300 dolllars will
allow the business to have web presence and create brand
identity. This is for starting off, and not the upper echelon of
business.
To compare a budget website to a company that spend 15 thousand
a month on SEO is just bad advice IMHO. The fact that you laugh
at Adobe, which is a full professional design suite, just shows that
closed minded nature which you approach design with.
The only thing that I didn't agree with in the article is go daddy.
It would be best to spend 300 on a site, if someone doesn't have one.
Sure, you can make it yourself, OR you can have someone else do it
all for you for AS LITTLE AS 300 DOLLARS.
That is all the original post explained, that you can do it for
as little as 300, not that 300 is all ever needed to spend.
Get started, get up, get rolling, get business.
Your criticism is getting a little diva, and sounds like,
"if you don't do it like me, you are wrong".
I have seen some budget sites that blow my mind.
