IMO: if a cleaner will not remove SG then it is not a very good cleaner. No big deal just AIO and start over.

evodelta and chiggarAccord03- Welcome to Autopia! As rightlane said, any "real cleaner" will "clean" the SG off the paint. About the only things that you can do to REALLY clean without disturbing your SG are a) use a (much) stronger-than-normal wash solution or b) clay (gently). These WILL clean the top layer of SG well enough that you can layer on more SG without "locking in" a bunch of dirt. I do this regularly and I only have to "start over" with AIO, etc. about once a year.
