Gear shift knob

Hi,

I have a gear shifter that has a clear rubber that covers the shift pattern. It is a little dull. Is there anything that can be done to clear it up? I've tried plastic polish by hand (maybe I shouldn't have) but it didn't have any effect.

Meg's PlastX or Scratch X by hand.

Anything that you use, do it by hand and try a test spot first.
