Gasoline Wipe Downs ???

Anyone ever run out of solvent or alcohol and do a wipe down with gasoline?? :devil:

Nope. How about 2 drops of Dawn Dishwashing Soap in a spray bottle of water? Makes for a pretty good wipedown.:smile:

Back in the day (approx 8 yrs ago) I used gas to remove some parking lot tar overspray on one of our cars.

How did it work for you David and what where you trying to remove?

Same here with a twist - kerosene and naptha (before the EPA was around ).

Back in the day we used gas to remove tar from the lowers....it would wreck havoc on my hands!

worked well though for tar removal. :scared:

Sure did, gas was my tar remover - especially when NC use to mix a bunch of gravel and tar together, lay it on the road, and call it "paving"!
