gas leaf blower for drying?

I have a similar model but the only thing I don't like is the rigid exhaust tube. I am going to measure the OD of the tube and then google around for a flexible vacuum hose (about 6 feet) with an ID that matches the OD and then attach it (clamp, epoxy....) and finally put a "cone" attachment on the end and see how that works.

I took a piece of soft rubber and glued to to the end area....like from a inner tube....but I rarely even touch the paint...

I use an air compressor to get the cracks and crevices free of most water. This allows me to direct the air better. I used the leaf blower before I had the air compressor.

I tried the air compressor but it lacks volume plenty of pressure but little volume. also drying your car all the time will kill your compressor.

Thats the path that i took. I also use it for interior detailing is so easy to blow the dust out of the cracks and crevasses. i dont use it to dry the car just get the water out of the little areas (around headlights, emblems, trim, etc...) then use ww for the rest of the car.

I would like to get a light weight blower for around $20 ,but all the ones on ebay are more than $20 just for shipping!:help:

I dry the majority of my car now with the blower, then I use the compressor to blow out the cracks and crevices. Then follow up with a MF drying towel.

It is great for blowing water from behind trim keeps them from dripping and great for drying the wheels any water droplets left on the car I blot up with a WW towel.
I posted about this blower last summer and a few said they were going to buy them but no one ever said if they did or not.

picked up that exact same nozzle in loews for $10, i love the thing. great for foaming the car prior to washing.
