GARAGE RENOVATION FINISHED! (yay!)

In an Autopia member's thread, "Armstrong floor tile in the garage?" , I was turned on to the idea of using this tile to floor my garage. One thing led to another, and by the time I finished, I had completely renovated my garage!

Read my posts in Peter's thread for some of the costs of what I did.

The final cost was over $3,000, but that's because I paid over $1100 in labor. I am obese and couldn't lift a finger. Your cost for a similar renovation will be much less.

Here's a link to Yahoo!, which has pics of my garage, before, and after!

it is very nice to see the whole process and view it in such a short time. the outcome looks fantstic!!

i know what you mean about smelling musty. although it is better now than the day we moved in, there are boxes that my wife has had in storage, that have not been opened for 10 years. as of today i am able to get half my truck in the garage to get it out of the weather.

i hope to someday be able to do what you have done, Charles. i hope the outcome will look as good!!

Looks really good. I love the floor!! I'm only 21 and don't have my own place yet but I can't wait till I get my own garage. I'm moving to a new house this summer with my parents and my mom took me with her to Sears to pick out some cabinets and stuff for the new garage as a present to my dad. I can't wait til the house is done so I can help my dad put the garage together. We got him some a large Craftsman storage cabinet, a hanging wall cabinet and then a workbench with lighted pegboard and a rolling 5 drawer chest..its gonna be pretty sweet. We hada cable tv connection put in,extra outlets, surround sound stereo and I'm going to use an old computer to have wireless internet out there so I can post here while I'm detailing. Can't wait
