Garage Entrance Concerns - Bottom Out

Bop's Auto Wash & Detail
Hello! I could really use some advice here... My new shop has a slight concrete ramp on approach and then flattens out at the lip going in. There are cracks and small size holes of concrete missing on both sides of the lip with a metal liner in between. So, I was backing my 04' 330Ci in the other day, the rear tires I felt went over the lip fine, but then I knew there was a problem... I had to drive out. Is there any way to solve a problem like this?!? Piece of angled metal?!? Concrete filler?!? This is the only pic I got, but it should give you a better idea...

Thank You In Advance for Your Help!!!!!!!! :rockon

i think a wide metal angled plate would work. if you use concrete to fill it in, be sure you use concrete that is rated for heavier weights.

Agree with Steve on this, a new metal piece and clean up those broken pieces of concrete and repair with a concrete patching material.

If you are serious about this and want to do it for a living I suggest laying more concrete in or else you will scare away everyone that drives a lowrider!

I have this problem all the time with my shop, getting low cars in and out of the wash bay. I use rubber matts to make like a stair case leading up to my ramps, I'll post a pic for you in a bit.

See those Rubber mats, I stack those on either side of ramps to lift car. They are pretty cheap and you could use them for a temporay fix until you get fixed. Basicly you would have make like stare cases by stacking them on your incline. Hope this helps. I have a slammed turbo porsche coming tomorrow i'll video how I get it in and out of the wash bay for you.

Grrrreat idea Thank You!! I'm going to go buy these mats today. If you'd like to video an example that'd be awesome!

Thanks again!!
