I just wish they could invent a quality extractor for the enthusiast budget. The Little Green Machine just doesn't cut it and the next step is near $1,000. There has to be a happy middle ground somewhere.

no I have a buddy in his area that might be a good customer....I guess I am sending him money that he has to work for
What about the Mytee Lite II? I know it's cheaper than these units.

Stephan I think you really need to consider this a long term investment if you are going to buy one, then get a better model. in the long run you will have less maintenence and be able to tackle tougher jobs

Are you saying the Mytee is not good or I should go for the big model? Or a different brand.

I've heard good reviews about the Mytee but it is small and is more of a spot tool than a full extractor.
If you've done some shampooing even with a shop vac, you'd see that it really takes at least a 5 gallon tank to do a car. If you are going to go and get a machine, don't spend the money on a machine you will outgrow too quickly, rather get a machine you can grow into

I think this boils down to what the specific needs are...for me the extractor was great, but really sat in the corner of the garage for the most part...there where cars that I did during the time that I had it, the setting it up wasn't worth the time....I don't get real bad cars, is what I am saying...a less expensive unit would suit me just as well...everything that I have read about Mytee has been spot on!...quality and reliable...If I had the extra $1200 I would have kept it but thats not the case..so I guess its back to the brush and shop vac for me:wow:

I too am back to the brush and shop vac (well Pockets is :rofl) since i too don't have the need to use one that often..the Mytee just seems a bit small for a growing business.

When I got this extractor out it was great...I really liked the way it worked the carpets and seats when needed.
There are some smaller units on the market in the $600 area that look like good units...for me if I had to refill a tank once during the detail would be no big deal to me...I used a LGM for quite a while before it just puked...carpets came out OK

I rented one one weekend as I had two kiddie mini vans back to back...that was back before I learned to say NO!
The cost wasn't that much for the time that it saved me...that would be a way to try one out

Where do you rent them i have see like home carpet extractors at some grocery stores but a car carpet extractor haven't seen them:hmmm: ???

Look in the phone book under rentals we have United rentals out this way...you can rent tractors, bottom dumps, party suppliers you name it..they are huge...there has to be a industrial rental place in your area

I have rented from them and they work great...I will have to wait to invest in something like that expensive as the Vapor cleaner I bought just pushed me back, and I want to get some business cards and a logo made up from Tony (YNOT) and I am saving for that.

I order my cards from these guys...not custom work like you are looking at but for me as a weekend guy they work great....they are real fast...three day from order to door...and I thought that they were cheap fro the quality.
