So this weekend I decided to try the GTechnig goodies I got from Todd.

Cleaned the interior and was planning on protecting the leather with the L1 by G Tech but I was not able to get the leather as clean as I wanted prior to sealing the leather. I will order some Leather cleaner and review the L1 all on its own.

My car was really still a complete mess from the winter and it took a considerable amount of time to clean the car up. I had tons of tar and imbedded dirt on the car. While I was rinsing the car before the wash I was not seeing the beading I was expecting from the EXO v2. Here is an example of what I was dealing with:

Wheels cleaned up with Sonax Total Effect Wheel Cleaner which i decided to try instead of the P21S Gel this time around , old dressing removed with P21S TAW. I used the wheel woolies and a tire brush the get the job done. large Wheel Woolie on the wells.

What I discovered later was that the dirt was so caked on that the rinse was not dislodging much of the dirt. I gave a pre spray with bug squash and P21S TAW on the lower panels before giving it a quick 2 bucket wash using the G-Wash which suds nicely, removed the dirt and rinsed very easily. I then proceeded to Iron X-ing the car.

After a 10K mile winter , there was plenty of iron to be removed!
After the wash, the sheeting action turned to beading as the water was now contacting the paint.
The next 2 are video's (click to watch)

As you watch these videos remember this coating was applied October 2013. This car sits outside 24x7 and gets driven about 20K miles per year in all kinds of weather. It is not babied and i really love the look the EXO v2 gives the paint. After washing the car this last time I can see that the finish has remained extremely swirl free.
I decided to use the QD on 1/2 of the car so that I could see the difference in the beading. I noticed a slickness equal to the freshly applied coating after using the Quick Detailer.

I will keep you posted the next time it rains or I wash it. The trick I learned with the G Tech QD is less is perfect. I used too much on the hood and needed to keep wiping it onto or off of the paint. Seems the EXO coating only takes what it needs and from what I see, it needs very little to cover the area.
After Washing and Drying with the GTech Towel. One towel easily dried the whole car.
SO can you tell which side has the QD? Passenger or Driver?

Some Beauty Shots:

Thanks to Todd, ACC and GTech for allowing me to try some really great products!
Everyone who reads these boards knows how pleased I am with the G Tech products I used to date and the Quick Detailer and drying towel are two other great product in that the QD added slickness and I hope renewed the coating and the Towel dried the whole car easily. I will report back after the first rain or wash. I also received a waffle weave towel from Todd as an extra bonus. I will review that my next wash as I was able to get through the whole car with one G Tech towel.
As far as adding gloss, the EXO v2 was pretty glossy before and the QD might have jumped it up a notch, but the EXO v2 is a champ for sure the way it held up this last brutal winter.
FYI the QD is on the driver side and entire hood.
The End.................
