Fuel tank filling?

How many hold the gas nozzle away from the vehicle while filling the tank so it doesn't touch the paint? :notme:
It didn't make much sense to me to polish paint, then scuff it with a dirty vinyl gas nozzle guard.

Do you think anyone would notice if I wrapped the nozzle in a MF towel? :)

:rofl :lmfao This is too much..I filled up my truck last night thinking the exact same thing....

To answer your question...I too hold the nozzle up off the inlet.

Both of my cars have fillers that have doors on them so there is no contact with the outside of the car....however if it did I would have a MFT to make sure that it doesn't touch the paint

The nozzle does not touch the paint surface on any of my cars or truck. Not to mention here in California we have EVAP nozzles that suck and are almost impossible to use if you try to hold them. You have to hold the EVAP gasket are back and it kicks off a lot if not done right.

Boy you people who live in Arnold's land sure have to put up with a lot of BS
All of my vehicles have a fuel door so no problem fueling without the handle touching the finish :yay

Can't say i worry about it at all:notme: we fill up in NJ where it's all full service :D if i get a spill or scuff..i'll just let Pockets polish it out:rofl
