front to back vs. top to bottom

hey guys



does anybody else wash, wax, and everything else on their car with the top to bottom motion on vertical surfaces? or is it just me.



i notice way less surface maring (you know the long ones acrosss the panel) after waxing and washing.



whatcha think?
 
i just go side to side..starting on the upper half i guess...i always do the whole passenger side first..the the drivers side
 
i go up/down, front/back too. there was a thread awhile back about this and i was just starting out so i just followed it. i don't think i've had anything bad happen because of it.
 
Front to back on the horizontals, up and down on the verticals.



I don't always wash that way (annoying), but I always wax that way except on the bumpers. The front to back rule for horizontals is easier to adhere to.
