Friend's car was vandalized...

So, my friend's dark pink '94 Ford Escort was spray painted with a can of yellow paint on a small area within a door and painted rubber door trim. Any ideas how to efficiently remove the paint from the surface? I tried PB Bug squash without success, and a clay bar seems to work but with 20 minutes of working with the stuff, it was barely improving the finish. AIO and OC did not help at all either when applied by hand. I am thinking of trying out my rotary on the paint with a light cutting pad, but would like some opinions beforehand as I did not have time to try this out during my time with the car. Thanks everyone.

Spray paint? You should be able to fix it with clay, try a more aggressive grade. If that doesnt work then try your rotary and a paint cleaner, like Megs #83.

Compounding will work. You could try Goo Gone, mineral spirts or paint thinner. Try a little

spot at a time. It shouldn't hurt the paint as long as you don't leave it on there to long. Try a sall spot and go from there.

Always try the least aggressive route first (clay), then move up to more aggressive steps only if needed.

So I finally got around to helping my friend out again. This time I tried mineral spirits without success. So, out comes the Metabo rotary. An orange edge 2000 light cut pad and Optimum compound easily did the trick. The rest of the paint was heavily oxidized, and I did not like that, but the customer wanted the paint removed, and that's it. I followed-up with a blue edge 2000 pad. Here are some pics:
