Friend is looking for..."ease of use all around"

This has been focused on OTC products. What about if one was happy to order online? What would you recommend for a one step product in this case?

IMO, the best one-steps are OTC. That's where the niche shops.

When I answered, I was considering a solution that could be unchanging for the next 5 years. There might be better solutions for this particular first time waxing, but what could this guy use every three months from now until 2010?

Really any good cleaner wax, along with proper technique, would work.

My neighbor was outside today in direct sun using Meguiar's cleaner wax in the red bottle. He had no trouble removing it even after putting it on a little thick. It made the gold on his Camry pop and gave it a nice wet look. That stuff is pretty cheap too.

I'm definitely with Mosca and zeee on ColorX. Excellent 1-step with pretty decent durability. A close second does go to Synwax (I have always prefered this over NXT).

Heck, why not do the best of both worlds. He could pay you (or do it as a huge favor) to "properly" polish the paint. Then he could OCW the heck out of his car (doesn't get much easier than that).
