Freebee

Well I don't have any pictures to brag about but I did a freebee yesterday.

To give you some background every day at around lunch I walk my dog over in a park. Very often we meet up with 2 ladies that work in a grocery store here and we walk with them.

The store they work is is one of these local stores that competes with national chains and the local store does an amazing amount of local community support.

Both these girls put a lot of thier time in unselfishly helping others through the store plus volinteer time at the hospital.

You may remember back I did a Click & Brag when I did a 3251 red Bimmer .. this was the husband of one of the girls.

I didn't find out for a while that the husband of the other girl has MS and is bound and determined to make the best of it. He even helps with the volinteering never asking for anything back. He still works at his job full time and it is very taxing on him but his MS messes up his balance and manual dexterity so he cant keep up a car very well.

Two weeks ago she told me they bought a new Subaru and washed it a few days later to discover dealer installed swirls in the nice burgundy paint. She asked what I would charge to remove the swirls as she has seen what the dealers regular detailer does. I told her I needed to see it then we would talk it over. We set it up for yesterday.

Yesterday morning I loaded up my stuff and dropped out there to look it over. It had lots of very fine swirls but nothing #80 and Wolfgang couldn't take care of very easily.

I told her it wasn't a biggie and she asked how much so I said "Let me have a go at it an we will see"

Three hours later ( I washed/clayed/#80/Wolfgang/windows and tires ) I was done and told her it was my way of volinteering and helping someone through them.

Her husband was totally thrilled as I know they don't have a lot of $$ to throw around and said I should take something for what I used. I agreed on lunch and his wife put togeter coffee and sandwiches.

Sometimes $$ aren't everything the smiles on thier faces were more than enough.

The feeling that one can get after doing something like that is worth more than any amount of money. :) Good for you. Random acts of kindness are sooooo Cooooool. :xyxthumbs
