Found Good Towel Stain Remover

I dunno, Superbee told me it worked miracles...another long lost member...I actually started a thread about lost members the other day which I lost before I posted it.

Aw yeah....I really miss Superbee 364 too, always felt that he and I are kindred spirits in many ways.

Heh heh, as with most things miraculous, YMMV is gonna apply with regard to the Sanitary Cycle. Eh, my Miracle Threshold is perhaps impossibly high in any context ;) but I will allow that if the Sanitary Cycle is available, then sure, use it.

Thanks for mentioning that, might sway me towards sticking with Tide (Ultra Stain Release) for clothing and other household textiles.

Just to be fair, one of the products I purchased was called "Intense Fresh" or something to that effect. The odor level on the others is more typical.

I haven't spent enough time with the other products I purchased to be able to comment on the odor level.

It's a WALMART-only offering.

I saw the press release where Wal-Mart is supposed to be the exclusive retailer, but there's a ton of Persil for sale on Amazon, even Amazon Prime (although Amazon isn't the seller for any of it). They have all different flavors of liquid as well as powders and paks.

Walmart is trying to use it as leverage against Tide so they'll lower their prices.

Looked at it in Wal-Mart today. Doesn't really seem like it's a Tide competitor, given they're selling a pretty unknown product in the grand scheme of things at a price that was pretty much the same as Tide.

Tide controls about 60% of the market. See WSJ article on this discussion.

Exactly. If you're going to compete though you put out a equal or better product at a lower cost. You don't come out of the gate as an unknown at the same price as the market leader.

Well, they're trying to get Tide to drop their price...that's the objective.

My local appliance store has sold Persil for years. I believe you've got to sell it (past tense) if you sold Meile appliances. The price in the appliance store was staggering, nose-bleed territory. Can't image they sold much during the year.

Wow. There is a name from the past. I remember him well. I met him at SEMA when he was on Autopia back in the day. Super nice guy.

That particular SEMA was one for the books, Autopian-wise. Lots of good people there, still kicking myself for not making it that particular time.

They can afford to charge as much as Tide as you get to experience the wonderful ambiance while shopping at Walmart.
