found a new pathfinder a home

that's a really nice vehicle. i'll bet the incentives were for all the joys of detailing that come with black paint. :)

I love my 01 Pathfinder. So far its been bullet proof. I was actually at the Nissan dealer today looking at new ones while I was getting an oil filter for my 01. I haven't driven a new one, but my 01 drives pretty much like a bigger version a Maxima. My next SUV will either be another Pathfinder or possibly an Xterra. The black ones really look nice, although one black car is enough for me. My only gripe is the dealers only stock black, silver, and white cars. If you want any other colors, you really have to look for them or order one.

the 2013 pathfinder is totally redone. no longer body on frame. the dealer had one and we both did not like it. the remaining 2012's she liked were both black. and she loves the color.

on a side note, my xterra now a little over two months old. love it! i included a link to the new pathfinder.......

the salesman did confess with the 2013 pathfinder they are trying to intise a new crowd. the xterra will remain body on frame for 2013. no major changes.

OMG they ruined the Pathfinder! The 2013s are horrible! I guess the ones i was looking at were still 2012s. i had no idea. They turned them into mom mobiles. Well, that makes it easy, my next one is an XTerra

Heh, two 4.0's in the same driveway. Makes stocking up on oil filters easier  We're actually gonna try and do the same thing here eventually. Get rid of the Equinox and find a couple year old four wheel drive Pathfinder.

Swan, you might want to jump on getting an Xterra, if I recall correctly Nissan is fixing to nix it.

Are they going to replace it with something decent? That is why I loved the Pathfinder. Size is just right, real 4wd, and doesn't look like Mom's Taxi. I checked out the Armadas. They were over 50 grand. I doubt I would get a new one anyway. I always get a car a few years old.

Nice! I guess your a Nissan fan now. I like the Pathfinders and I saw a commercial for the redesigned one the other day. I like the body on frame better than the new design but I be the new one will ride more like a car

Probably nothing. Everything now adays is going to uni-body smaller more efficient platforms. Shame really, it's one of the few fully boxed frame vehicles (like my Frontier).

I could be completely wrong, but I always thought my 01 Parhfinder was a unibody vehicle and the XTerra was the one on a full ladder frame. I've been under there a bunch of times changing fluids but never really looked because I assumed it was unibody, being that it has Macpherson struts up front and I THINK I remember the jack points having a crimp weld line unibody cars do. I dont recall seeing frame rails, but I haven't been under there in a while. Does anyone know if the R50 Pathfinders are full frame for sure? Maybe they are some type of hybrid?

*** Did some research and answered my own question (sort of). It seems like its some sort of hybrid? Maybe?

The R50 (1996-2004) model Pathfinder/QX4 features a “unibody” layout, using a floor pan with front and rear frame side rails which supports (and is welded to) the main body structure.

Congratulations on the new Pathfinder Dave. :yourrock

The Pathfinder's are awesome looking and have a good reputation. Don't forget winter's right around the corner and some winter prep will go a long way at keeping that finish looking gorgeous. :bigups

My new Jeep is nearly done and I hope to have it finished today or tomorrow.... :bigups
