I've used the do it yourself carwashes for the last couple of years. From reading on this board it looks the high power pressure spray is not very good for my paint. My problem is if i wash it at home we have very hard water and it spots all over. Is there anything I can do to avoid this. Should i Just try to hurry and dry it when i'm done or should i just continue to wash it at the DIY carwashes.

Thank you

dry it quickly and thoroughly. If you dry with the right technique then you can do your car without any waterspots at all. There is a really good thread on the perfect drying technique somewhere on the forum. Do a search with the words "perfect drying technique" and you'll find it.

I've been using the car washes for years and haven't ever had any problems. If you are careful which ones you use and are careful how you use them then you should be fine. :xyxthumbs

I have seriously enjoyed my brief association with this forum and most of its members. I frequent numerous other detailing forums but they don't seem to be the same for various reasons. So to get to the point. Can a forum be purchased and run as a separate business ? I'm old fashioned and not savvy of how this digital age operates. Is this possible and can a forum exist on advertising funds without be corrupted by said advertisers ? Maybe its just hard to say goodbye as the old R&B song goes but I've always been told that as one door closes , another one opens. So if Jack was so inclined and it didn't interfere with future plans would this be something a investor might consider ?:driving:

I'm sure we will find out whats going to become of this site, sooner rather then later. I can't help but wonder myself, but untill I hear from someone officially, I'm just going to ride it to the end and try to have fun

As far as the financing....if the site allows advertisers, then it will suck just like the rest of them (no offense, just being honest) What I believe is needed is a site that supports itself through paid membership
