formula 113

It's a decent carnuba based wax. It doesn't really last a long time (6-8 weeks under ideal conditions), but it does have a pretty good shine. I think it got a B for initial appearance in the Guru Test, but it only beaded 5-6 weeks. Great for a temporary shine or if you don't mind waxing 10-12 times a year, but for the same price, you could get a jar of S100.

BTW, several older members do not like the guy who runs the company...apparently he was not the most polite person on the board. Take that for what it's worth to you. :nixweiss

I've heard some not so great things over on corvetteforum.com. We don't talk about much except Zaino over there;) so I don't have any significant specifics.

Very high in the abrasives category, lots of silicone, non-impressive durability. Great for a one-step where a quick clean and shine is required, but not something that I'd want to use on a regular basis. Sort of like a Nu-Finish, but a little more "creamy" and not so chemically.

Oh yes, good ol' Michael from NY. Wierd dude, awesome products.

The wax is pretty impressive stuff, but everyone is right about durability. It doesn't leave white residude on trim or around name plates or anything.

The QD spray is called Beadx (you should be able to run a search and get some descent results). GREAT QD spray, a little bit goes a LONG way and it is second to none on glass.

The vinyl shine was ok at best. It smelled great, but very siliconey(?).

Actually, if anyone wants to try the wax, I bought a case from him last year, and I still have about 6 bottles left, I think cost was around $11 a bottle (plus shipping) (retail is about $20)....PM me if you are interested.

My wife uses the BeadX quick detail spray and loves it. It does do a good job but I still prefer my Z6 or Eagle1. I tried the polish once, it went on and buffed easily but I wasn't happy with the shine, didn't get deep enough.

I do have to agree with Dale about BeadX. It is an excellent QD. If it wasn't for Clearkote's Quikshine, I'd be using BeadX. Smells good too!

Hey guys thanks for the response. I believe that I just saved some money.I can't stand when I go to these car shows and everything looks and sounds so good. Then you take it home and it just does not perform to expectation.

BeadX is definitely worth trying if you are looking for a good QD, but for waxing, there are better options than Fomula113.
