Ford Ranger

Well, I'm looking into buying a used one, anywhere from 1994-1998 and was wondering if anyone here had one and had any good information on them or anything. I've talked to a few guys who have them and they are all pleased with thiers, anyone here drive one?

My wifeâ€â„¢s dad had a 95 that didn't give him any problems. After he passed away her mom kept in around for a couple of years during which time I did some maintenance on it for her (oil changes, radiator flush, etc.). Seemed like a solid little truck. I borrowed it to move my daughter back from Charlotte towing a u-haul and it did just fine. Last year she sold it to her brother-in-law and it's still doing OK.



The key is to find one that has been well maintained (oil changes, etcâ€Â¦).

If you can swing it you may want to try getting a 2004 New Toyota Tacoma, I just picked one up for $11,500. It's more expensive then a used one but I'm going to use it for years.



They are clearing out the 2004 models and this thing was cheap, although it is a very basic model.



As far as what I know about rangers, I think it is an average small truck. The 2.9L engine which I think most of them have is not very powerful but gets the job done. I'm basing this off of an early 90's ford bronco II, basically the same thing in SUV style, and I didn't like the bronco II very much.
