Ford Expedition......Pretty Rough Around The Edges

We're Here

I've recently noticed a somewhat specialized hose nozzle obviously marketed as a car washing accessory. Turtle Wax markets one and there are others - they look so much alike I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they're all made by one company. They are all the pistol-type design and the head rotates to a number of different (identified) settings. Anyone have one of these and have an opinion?

Also, does anyone have a favorite brand of hose? I'm still waiting for one of my hose purchases to deliver on their claimed "lifetime" warranty.

Incidentally, I found the Meguiar's heavy duty upholstery and carpet cleaner at Target yesterday. Now if I could only find the Eagle One Zap somewhere.

I have always wanted one of those catipillar type hoses. They look more like produce sprayers and coil up on their own. I've never seen one in real life, though. The place I always see it is skymall (airline catalog) I believe that there is a www.skymall.com too

On my hose I just have an on and off lever attached to the end. In the on position it flows whole if you put in on half way it sprays too.

Here's one Steve. Griots has several cool selections to choose from just do a search on <strong class='bbc'>hose[/b].

thanks for the short cut, short cut but , that's pricey. I think the hose at skymall is only $40 or so (but without a nozzle)

I saw it on a TV commercial once only for $19.95!!! haven't seen it since though.

Hmmmmm...... How do I explain this????

This was a rough one. This lady is a traveling salesperson and also a rancher who has over 10,000 cattle. She uses her vehicle year around 7 days a week. She also smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day.

There was not only cattle poop all over her floors, but there was over a years worth of dirt and dust in every crevice of her vehicle. You can tell what the interior looked like by the picture of the steering wheel.

The exterior was even worse. She only takes her car to automatic car washes to clean it. There were carwash brush scratches beat into her paint. it had mud and dirt caked everywhere and all of her rubber was oxidized.

Her poor car was in need of some serious help.

Here is a breakdown of what I used:

Meguiar's Hyper Dressing -- tires (light coat)
Griot's Undercarriage Spray -- wheel wells

Let me know what you guys think......

Nice work.

Every single Expedition I have detailed is always trashed. I also usually find myself scrubbing the seats and steering wheel with a tooth brush and APC.

Seriously, nice work :)

Why is that???? Why do they trash them? It makes you hate SUV jobs when they roll up..... The steering wheel definately SUCKS! Especially when they are this bad :)

Thanks again,

Jonathan

I have been admiring all your threads, you do some amazing work on some vehicles that are in sad shape. Thanks for sharing your work and great job!!!
