That's the first thing I though when I saw it as well! Mold!!



You should give her a week or two and ask her if she has been feeling any different since the detail. I can almost guarantee that she was feeling some effects from all that dirt and mold and just didn't realize it.

It could very well have turned over and have 126,000 miles. I believe the older fords only went to 100,000 miles and I can't tell 100% but it looks like only a 6 digit odometer.

I would have just bought replacement carpet instead of even trying to shampoo the carpet. Just looking at those interior pics made my stomach turn!

These are the rehab jobs I love seeing! Great turn around. I've done several thousand Escorts back in the day and I can definately say they are real challenge to make perfect. If you ever run into one of these oxidized and grimy Fords, next time try scrubbing the exterior with a water based compound and a yellow bug sponge brick. It's coined the term "white washing" and drastically improves the finish as well as gets you off on the track the easy way.

this car was used for the mother to drive to the library which is only 3 blocks away from her house. it has sat outside since the day she bought it back in '91 and it is true that it only has 26k miles



i should have charged a lot more for the job but it was a family friend

there were floormats, the rubber kind but i guess they dont block much ha



i think for all stubborn stains im gonna try the boiling water w/ MF on it, it really brought up a lot more dirt and when i was scrubbing the carpets with the MF, it really smelled ha
