That`s a good idea. That`s a perfect scenario for a Paint Thickness Gauge. If the readings came back positive, I`d make him sign a waiver that he understands the risk for clearcoat failure. Then I`d talk him into a couple layers of a surface coating. In the fine print of the waiver, I`d have a special clause stating the tire tread may be compromised due to transporting the Hellcat to and from the track where the coating must be applied*.

Ray that`s why they put 275`s all around on the Hellcat...so when you take it to the track and smoke em off the axle trying to drag race-- you can just swap the fronts on and do it again! haha

Man I just looked on my computer and it looks so much like a wipe. I cant seem to make out any "spinning" look to it. I believe you, you were there. My eyes are playing a trick on me. ha ha ha
 
I can almost see it now: suddenly the owner gets a sick feeling when his friend bubba says "looks like a scratch on your door. here, hold my beer while I buff that out for you":bubba
 
I read the warning....and was foolish enough to continue.

How do I feel?

Well....I just got my rotary on Friday(or Thursday?) . Haven`t used it. Tonight, I`ll neatly wrap it up, kiss it goodnight, put it in it`s box, and bury it deep in my closet.

I don`t think he handed the beer can over.

I think he chugged it and used the can coozie to get rid of that scratch.
