Foose or Boyd?

Im a huge fan of Foose as well. The overall designs, tiny details he puts in his cars and the fact that he actually builds them himself makes him an automotive icon!

Boyd comes across as a jerk on TV. And the fact they rush those $100-200k hot rods in a couple weeks is nuts. I know if I had that much to spend on a custom car I would NOT want it rushed! Does it seem like Boyd is on the way out? He sold the wheel business and his Hot Rod business seems to be shrinking too.

Foose to the power of .

I can't stand to watch shows like the Boyd C one. It makes we woozy to think I could spend such an enormous sum of money to have a "dream machine" built only to find out it was hadled by people like that.

It's like trying to watch "unique whips". The way they "install" wheels, they way they "wash" vehicles. What about the episode where they drilled out the lug seats on those wheels with a hand held drill!!!! I hope those weren't tapered or conical seat!!! It's like a bunch of untrained high school kids cutting corners. I can't stand it.

The Chip Foose's who take their time and do it right are hard to find.

good painters? hum, lanzini, you know the guy who does flames. wow thats some pretty good air brushing. just last week or so they did an hour long show on him and another girl in a paint off, that dude is incredible.

Thats Mike LAVALLE.... Lanzini owns a paint shot.

Mike LaValle does the custom airbrushing....

Foose all the way! He is a team leader and his talent and hard work get his team to work harder.

Boyd is an ***, he only cares about getting the car done. His is a very negative show. I also don't like that he'll cut up a beautiful car that just needs some restoration work instead of finding another car to cut. I'm thinking of the "rat rods" that they built - what was it a '20s model T - a true survivor. They also cut up a beautiful '40s Ford convertable - yes, it looked nice finished, but couldn't they have found something in poorer shape to resurrect?

last episode of whips that i watched the did a realy old caddy for an nfl player. sent the car out for a real nice paint job. when it came back then they striped it of interior. rusted floorboards, did not do anything with the undercarriage, they showed it and it was all rusted and full of cobwebs. didnt touch the motor but put a new exhaust on it. if i were the guy that owned the car id be pi#*ed off. yea they just make it look good, they dont make it good. cover ups are just wrong.
