Follow up on Autogeek Order

patrick & bob no worries I haven't ordered from either of you, but I plan too in the near future! :)

you'll have no problems ordering from patrick, they don't get any better... :up

Jack In The Box never gets my order right, but when I call and tell them they boffed my order again, I get a free meal the next time I show up. When Im making my poor detailers salary, thats a sweet deal. All in all, I like freebies.

And I dont know Bob or Patrick from anyone else, but I'll buy from them from now on and go to AG for the stuff these guys dont sell. Who cares about price when this big conglomerate I work for pays the bills? :)

Still lovin' Autopia!

Glad to hear everything worked out for you but I'm curious as to why you felt the need to create another thread for this issue? I would have liked to see you get this all resolved and then post about it. I've ordered from AG numerous times and never had any real problems. Once or twice there have been delays with an item being out of stock but I was informed about it by email or telephone and asked if I wanted to wait or cancel it from my order.

As for Mr. Danase being serious maybe he's kidding but there was plenty of back slapping for him back in February. Would that be considered shilling or promoting for you?

+1 for Bob at Danase, consistently great service, and I expect no less from any vendor.

Ahh... yes...The soap opera of auto enthusiasts....Hey, I just order some Zaino Z2 Pro from Autogeek and they sent me Souveran..Before I bash them to bits for there error, you think I can get a free t-shirt out of the deal?

I am not certain how a thread regarding Autogeek has turned to bashing Danase and Excel.

Bob and Patrick, BY FAR, provide some of the best customer service in the business along with Lynn at Autopia!

I just don't, and never will, understand the mentality of some people. :nixweiss

Life is entirely too short to worry about the small things!

The reason I like AG is the cost. I live in FL, I get free shipping over $75 + whatever coupons are out there. I have to pay 7% tax, but at a bare minimum, I get 10% off, which is 3.7% off(coupon code comes off before tax).

I do plan on ordering from Danase one of these days, I want some wet glaze and a water devourer. I will probably keep my bulk orders from AG, who I've ordered from twice, both have gone fine, and my specialty orders to the smaller guys. If AG gives me a reason to go elsewhere or or someone else gives me a reason to switch, I will, but until then...it's about the bottom line.

Hey Baker, I am glad that it worked out for you and that you are enjoying the freebies. Personally, I appreciate freebies when the vendor includes them not because they screwed up and/or see the complaints in the forums, but because they are smart business people and value your business and want to continue earning it. The freebie is especially more meaningful when they have interacted with you (sometimes for hours) by phone and/or e-mail answering your questions or just talking about detailing in general; such is the case and has been my experience with outstanding vendors like Bob, Phil, and Ranney. As I mentioned in a previous post I dropped AG permanently because of their inconsistent CS and the rude way in which they handled my inquiry into my last order. Following the advise of some Autopians I decided to give them another chance to rectify the situation, so I called them up and left a message with a particular representative there, and they did not even bother to return my call. I don't know what their deal is, but it seems that their CS is dependent on the phases of the moon, the tides, the weather in Florida, their serotonin levels, or god knows what. I tell you this much though, I won't miss them one bit. THANKS BOB FOR YOUR EXCELLENT CS.

I recieved a free microfiber from Patrick at Excel and I thought it was a nice gesture, not a bribe. This is a business man keeping his customers happy. Bribe?.....thats silly.

Remember that when you dont get your full order, or what ever the case may be, that this is sometimes out of your suppliers control. Have you ever recieved your order on 2 different day's from 2 different places?

I can not comment on Danase because I have not purchased anything from them. I have purchased from The perfect Shine, Excel Detail, Meguiars, AutoGeek, Production Car Care, System One, and The Detail Shoppe of course.

Its not easy being the little guy! There is a reason everyone doesnt carry everything and you will still shop with who ever has what you desire, good or bad service.

I think it's worse to have a disgruntled customer air out their dirty laundry on this forum and still end up unhappy than one who was "bribed" with free, upgraded products. At least they made an effort to try and win back the customer. Maybe it is unfair treatment that a customer would have to go to such measures before they get any help, but there's an old saying that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Just to follow up. Items in my order were out of stock, with no notification. Supposedly everything ships today though. Ho-hum so much for a first impression.

This is starting to sound eerily familiar. So you had to call or email to get this info?

I got on their 'live chat' and asked. They said my two backing plates were OOS but had arrived so the order can go out today.

Let us know when you get the tracking number. I'm always fascinated by coincidences, like when you finally call and they tell you that the missing items just came in.
