follow up calling...

So, say you get a call and the "potential" is adament about getting a rough price rather than an estimate and a concrete price! You give a rough price and explain everything in detail and the possibility that the price might be lower after an evaluation is done. The potential says he/she will think about it and get back with me...

Should I:

A) Wait for him to call

B) Wait a couple days and call him (possible offer a reference sheet)

I generally don't bother calling these types back, but in the past week or so I've gotten a few potential calls. Which got me wondering if there is a way to show you want the oportunity to detail a persons car without looking desperate?

Thanks for the help

If you have the time for new business, I'd wait a few days, maybe a week, and then of course politely call the person and say that your schedule has opened up this coming week and you'd like to see if you could fit them in for a quick evaluation, during which you could show them your before & after book and they can see your car as an example and give them a one page flyer about your services and such. If they say no again or try to buy time, ask if they'd like you to call when you get another opening. If they say yes, it shows they're at least somewhat serious about the work. If they give you the slip, I'd write them off.

NOOOOOOOOOOO--PRICE SHOPPER!! Don't waste your time. A person like that will drop you in a heart beat for the next guy that charges $1.00 less than you.

You want clients to do business with you based on your high quality service .

I don't think there is any harm in calling them back, as everyone is a potential customer. However, on a personal note if I tell a company I'll have to think about it or get back to them I really mean it. If I'm interested I will call back, if I'm not I won't. Calling me doesn't convince me of anything, but maybe it will work for others.

What about after you do their car, do you give them a call in a week or 2 to ask them if they would like to be washed again, or do you hope they call you?

Yes, but before you ask for the sale, :o ask if your detail was satisfactory.

You may consider giving the customer one of your, or DavidB's "Maintaining Your Perfect Finish" Pamphlet.:up

There is a difference between following up on an already sold service or product. That's good customer service.

However, if the interested person tells you they will get back to you on it and don't, chances are they decided against it for whatever reason. I'm sure there are people that forget about their inquiries and it can only help to follow up but I still feel that the majority of people who don't call back are window shopping/comparing/etc.

People tend to buy from you, if they know you, like you, trust you.:wavey

No, usually means No not right now.

If you were given a call back number, that is a good sign!:idea

IF he/she didn't KLT you wouldn't have gotten a Number:rolleyes:

If you follow up, this could show the customer that You are interested in them. Offering a free service or sample if they give you an opportunity to show them what you can do, gets you an IN.

Some will, some won't, so what...NEXT!:lol

If you don't ask, you don't get, etc., etc.,:o
