Foam guns are waaaaay too much fun!

I got a quick question. Does the power of the washer influence the foam thickness? Do I need to have a high-PSI washer to get your results? I was htinking about getting an electric washer, 1500-2000 PSI but might as well go to gas powered if it does make a difference.

The pressure does seem to make a difference, but I'd be willing to bet that you'd be pleased with the results from a lower pressure washer.

Nice vids indeed! Tons of suds on both washes, specially that Citrus Wash! That was cool! BTW, are you an airline pilot by any chance?

OK, that's just a bit scary that you know that... yes, I am an airline pilot... what gave me away????

I couldn't see how he could have figured it out from the videos, so when I went back, I realized that all he had to do was click on your album to the see the rest of your pics. On that first page there is a picture of you in an airplane cockpit wearing a pilot's uniform, holding I presume your son?

I don't think he's stalking you or anything :) He is a big flight sim guy though, if I recall correctly.

Oh, I didn't realize the rest of that album was public.

Sorry if you felt harrased, it was not my intention at all! :( But to give you a little of me, I'm a frustrated pilot. Always wanted to do it, but never had the money or the support for such an expensive career. But I enjoy my days piloting in Flight Simulator, and bein a Hub Manager for a virtual airline. Here's a pic of me leaving TJSJ/SJU on a flight to TAPA on a 757. As BlackElantra said, I love FS!

No worries, Bigfoot! PM sent, mate :)

BigAl3, my foamgun didn't come with a deflector, but it could use something like that. The foam shoots out with incredible force. I have to stand back from my car quite a ways for the best coverage.

This is my AutoBrite Foam Lance I bought in a group buy on DW.

I made a foam mixture from 1 part SSF, 1 part cheap car shampoo and then toppped up with water and gave it a quick shake.

Then out to the car and gave it a quick rinse with the pw and then on with the lance.

My Audi started off a nice blue colour but in no time at all it was covered in foam.....

As you can see, the detergent combo created a nice thick and clingy foam. Even one of my neighbours came out for a nose and commented that he thought my car was blue not white!!!

Yup, that's the exact same foam lance I bought, but without the Karcher type adapter. Autobrite would do well to make those adapters available over here in the states.

Hi 1210tech,

PM sent. I need a faster way to change adapters and this might be the solution I am looking for. :)

I think I would :)

I just received my foam gun and bottle of citrus wash in the mail today! The foam gun produces a lot of thick foam that sticks to the car, its great!

I do have ONE concern. When your done washing and rinsing your car there are A LOT of foam left on my driveway. I'm worried that leaving the foam one the drive may stain my driveway. Could citrus wash leave my driveway stained if I don't rinse it off?

What brand citrus cleaner did you go with?

Since it appears that this Autobrite foam lance with the Karcher attachment is only sold in the UK, how the heck do we get it here to the states?

Can I find those brass Karcher adapters locally?

What can I do to make this fit my Karcher?
