Fleetwax Longevity

Polished out and waxed a car last Sept. 19, and due to medical problems, the owner could not bring it back till this morning. He keeps his car immaculate, he even wipes down the door jambs weekly. Washed it first, and when I sprayed it off, I could not believe the tight beading and the water running off. Thought he must have waxed it himself very recently, the paint was velvety smooth. BTW, I don't know if you have had this experience with Mazda paint, or any other ,, but I have never felt paint like this before. Should have taken pictures of the beading because this is 10 months even through a Nova Scotia winter, and they use a lot of salt here. He swears that he never put anything on the paint since my last job. Anyway thought I'd pass this along. I know Collonite waxes are known for lasting, but this is rediculous.

FK 425 on windows and Giovanna tire shone on the tires. Watch out for the killer dog in the second picture. Toy Manchester Terrier, 16.5 years old.

Yeah it's good stuff. I've been using Collinite products for 40 years. I have tried and tried (unsuccessfully) to find something that will knock them out of my overall "go to" wax position. I've found some that will out shine it for a little while but none that will out last it (Zaino is close and I'm getting ready to give FK-1000 a try).

On the Gulf Coast we don't get a lot of cold weather (almost none anymore) but we sure do get a lot of hot and humid weather. If you want something that will withstand the "long hot summer" then Collinite 476 and 915 are up to the task.:)

Yup, I can also attest to the durability of it on 3 cars as well. I've posted results from using it on some cars I maintain in my old posts.

I really hope to someday get 915. To me, that would be the pinnacle what I could get from Collinite.

BAKER- Thanks for sharing that, and for the pic including the old dog- cool that he's (she?) still going at that age!

My Collinite experiences are about the same; both my Yukon and a friend's Audi (soon to be mine) got through the winter just fine with last year's 476S.

Only thing to beat it so far is (heavily layered) KSG, but I just put (again, heavily layered) FK1000P on the Yukon so we'll see how it compares.

Yes shes 16 and a half, deaf as a stump, almost blind but she still loves to run around the yard.

Fleetwax stands up pretty good considering what I put our trucks through. winter traveling from city to house(125mi) through NY,NJ,PA beats the hell out of anything I've used.

01 Blazer G/F RAV Mom's old Jeep.PA is the worst offender they use a combination of sand, ash and salt. like the salt doesn't make it dirty enough.:furious::angry

.. what polish do you use underneath the Collinite or polish/glaze.

I often use Collinite over top of the stuff that 1Z (consumer line) polishes leave behind and it does *NOT* compromise the Collinite durability at all. The incredibly durable waxjob on my Yukon was over top of 1Z.
