Fleet Week in NYC w/ Poorboy and family

This past week was fleet week here in New York City,
so the family and I went down to see the ships, but unfortunately since our military is spread a bit thin, there was only one US ship in port the USS Kearsarge, which is a marine amphibious aircraft carrier. Here's a few pictures of the ship, some of the helicopters, amphibious vehicles, and a few shots of NYC from the deck ...including a few pictures of my family

It was quite an adventure ...3 city blocks of lines to get in and then inside they have ramps from level to level that are about 45 degrees ...my back was killing me afterwards from the climb..good thing those marines are young and in good shape :rockon

Glad you had a good weekend. My son is a NYC Detective and worked Fleet week and enjoyed every minute of it.
