Flash/Trouble?

Which is best at hiding swirl marks? Klasse, Zaino, or omega glaze. I have a new red car that was just waxed two weeks ago. I noticed some minor swirl marks when it was out in the sun today. You can only see them in direct sunlight. Does Zaino do a good job of hiding swirls?

Z5 does the best of the three you mention at helping to disguise swirls. It has fillers which help level off the void and even the light reflections that make you notice the scratch. NONE of these make swirls disappear. NONE of these are permanent solutions.



The best procedure is to do a proper prep with an abrasive that will remove the scratches and swirls. Products like 3M Swirl Mark Remover and 3M Finesse IT are commonly used.
 
If you say its a new car. Those swirls you are talking about are most likely from the manufacturer. They are in the paint under the clear. Basically they cannot be buffed or even hidden well in direct sun. Under white light its a different story. After all its only a stock paint job. And if you feel its a defect then go check out some other red cars on a dealers lot just to see any disimilarities.

and exists on all cars, but is noticed most on black. You can only get a factory paint job looking so good......



Anyhow, from the factory to the dealer to your driveway, there are lots of opportunities for swirls to develop....especially during dealer prepping. I am sure you will see improved results using one of those fillers above. BRAD B is right on though...it is best to remove them first.........
 
Not sure which UN he uses but noticed he was banned?

Was he banned for creating mutiple accounts or something?

It was my understanding that he was on good terms & friends with most folks here.

Mods, if this creates more problems then just delete.

Just curious is all.

I noticed several post and replys from him.......not all were in a positive light, some down right rude.....but to each their own, he has been warned on another forum already too....he just comes off being rude....which this is not the place for that.
 
Sent him a PM here RE: Comments on AG concerning the DA system and told him the stuff was the real deal because he knows I am truth teller when it comes to hyped products.......did not help I guess and he shot himself in the foot.....again.

Flash if you read this why did you not heed my advice??, really sad.
 
Flash was allways nice to me, stuck up for me when i was being tossed around, I thought it was because of some of the religous comments i saw.
 
A wise man once told me that if you put 10 detailers in a shop and asked each one how they would detail the car in front of them - you'd get 10 different answers. That said, what are the odds that all of the beta testers liked - I mean REALLY liked the new Megs system............ok, so, if all of them did - doesn't that mean something? I think it does and these guys are (IMHO) better at evaluating a product than the average Joe.

Now - old Flash picked the wrong pot to stir and I think when he didn't get any back-up, he just got rude and was asked to bring his torch.

The tribe has spoken.
 
Flash is a good guy, he was always nice to me and always had nice things to say. I think the incident heated up and people got their feelings hurt. That kind of stuff happens, we are afterall human. Nothing I can do but Flash is a good guy.

We like Flash/Trouble as well. But, after having a couple of discussions with him asking him to tone it down a bit, we felt on the last occasion he just wasn't listening. We only ask everyone to "play nice". We ask people to use good judgment and respect when they come here. Ultimately we have to insure to all of our members that this is a nice environment to be in. We do not mind a ?spirited? debate as long as it stays a ?friendly? spirited debate.

We also were not thrilled with his using two ID's and asked him to loose one of them.

His ban was only for seven days which has passed and he is welcome to come back in when he wants.

I had raised this point in my thread on reviews. What usually happens is the ones that see merits post and the ones that did not are silent. There is always something positive to say. It really is how much you dwell on the negatives.

As for those that were beta testers for Meguiars, who knows if a negative review would drop them from the next trial list. I am sure this is something many want to maintain.

But, I do not think all the reviews I read were glowing. There were comments made would indicate that it was not the ultimate product. I saw some say it was good for correction but not the best for finishing.

I think the product is intended for high production shops that do never hire people who a good with a rotary but want close enough results to get the vehicle through an auction.

The product works, the compound is designed for quick DA correction and the polish/wax does a good job as well when you use them as intended 1-2 punch.

The compound allows very good correction with less dust than M105, the finish you get with or without the microfiber pads is pretty good by itself but for getting the paint totally finished down you will need to follow with finish polishes, one thing that is also nice about the compound is it wipes off very easy like M205 which makes things go smoother while doing a long paint correction.

When ever I have been given a product or try something I give it a fair shake and try it under various conditions and paint finishes, this new product is now a staple for me at least until the next gen version comes along as it always does. I never worried also if I did not like the product or something about it that I would not be included in future beta testing cycles, as my reputation as someone who does not embellish is more important to me and always has been.

The Meguiars guys who were in charge of this product distribution were very clear "Be honest about your findings" and hold nothing back as they needed unbiased feedback which helps them in the long run with a quality product guys will buy over and over again.

I have not used it but I have no reason to do that it can work. I expect a pro
s like yourself to quickly know how to adjust to most product application work optimally for a great finish.

I look forward to trying it. I was commenting that the reviews have not been so glowing that people are glossing over the truth which is why some were getting into trouble.

Sounds to me like youve been gracious and forgiving and I do hope Flash will come back and work things out .
