Well b-cuz it was a sail rail (and I wasnt in the booth) I assume it was repainted(including cc) but that tape was put into a small top belt molding area still dont understand..right above your window on rear door(4door) to tape off window the masking tape is put into the belt molding to prevent overspray...the window guy pulled off the tape the wrong way(prolly rushing) with cc on tapped area and sail rail.He ripps up about 4 inches of cc thats the best way I can explain it but maybe another bodyshop guy can elaborate more srry for not being clear enuf and if still not we'll I tried..........OGbudman3 said:I guess I'm still confused. Somehow a window guy removed CC with masking tape, you have it repainted, sent it to a car wash, wet sanded and then buffed? Doesn't sound like a place that I would want to go if the window people are ripping up paint with a piece of tape. So was the area just reshot with paint or clear? I think that for a complete job that the whole panel would have to be repainted or there is a chance that it will come up again I believe.
My bad its my lack of proper punctuation.I get lazy at times so my wife told me to start using commas where they belong and such.PEI Detail said:This whole thing is weird.
