Fk 1000p

So I went to the FK1 website and saw that the 1000P is a Hi Temp Synthetic Paste Wax ... so you guys are using this as an alternative for Carnauba paste wax or topping with carnauba? (could I? Any benefits or just wasting time) That picture is very impressive. Where to get FK1 products? Only directly from their website?

you could top with pw but i like the look after the 1000P

you order for their website I believe shipping is $5 no matter what you buy

PW or 1000p ftw.

I personaly use 1000p on the lower rocker panels during winter seaon. I just hated those cripsy flaky salt building up in those areas.

Damn! Look at that, very impressive....it doesn't resemble the #2180 I laid down a couple of weeks ago. My LSP is already starting to fade..

if you're gonna order from FK, and you're a wheel cleaner user, get yourself some of their product. It's excellent and you end up with 5 gallons (post-mixing) for around $25. The stuff works real well and doesn't appear to be "toxic".

I am on the verge of declaring it my 'best new product for 2006 '.
:thx

It looks kinda sharp. Very sealant-ish. Typically not my thing for black, but it definitely has gotten my attention. How is the application?

I've read on here that 2180 is plastic like in appearance, but I dont make a habit of passing judgement until I have tried something.

Tdekany,

I really enjoyed your thread with the M6. In fact I even went back and looked at the thread again (for about the 4th time now :D) Cool pictures. FK is something that I will look into when I burn through some of what I have in stock here.

Thanks man - application is very easy with the pc (1000) - 2180 is easy any way you apply it.

Very sealant-ish.
could be to the light in the picture.

Tdekany,

Any full sun shots of 1000p ob black? Sorry to keep bothering you, but like I said....this product has piqued my interest. We have 3 black cars in the family. :D

tdekany thats a SIK PIC :werd: .

It seems the FK stuff gives a true color but bright like a sealant but over sealanty if you will.

How does the FK especially 1000p resist marring and such.

Is it hard to get 1000p on thinly ?

thanx mongo

I personally don't thing it brightens the paint and being a synthetic wax I feel it has a good medium of the road appearance between a sealant and a carnuba .

Iw works awesome with a finishing pad on a pc. I used to do it by hand and felt it was hard to get it on thin and hard to get it all off . The PC took care of that. . I do notice after it's done and wiped off , if I go and drive someplace it does attract all the salt duct from the road. Even if I do a 425 wipe. WHY would that be ??

I have 2 bottles of 2180 here and I was going to try it on my rims because I can't seem to get any benefit on the paint from it.
