FK 1000P vs. Collinite 476S

I have had good results with 1000p over 2180, though that was a PITA process. Put the 2180 on a smidge too thick and it took some hefty rubbing to come out.

One thing I noticed about 1000p is that durability was good, but it tended to hold on to water spots a bit more than with a traditional 'wax'. So, while I was seeing longer periods between applications, I was working a tad harder to keep the surface looking nice.

Still, with all of the collective praise for 1000p in this thread from the forum gurus, I may just have to break out the old tin and give it a go the next time I'm redoing my LSPs.

BTW, anyone still using Pink Wax? I remember that was pretty nice too.

I still have my FK PW , but I think its heading to the trash next time I do some cleaning out. I never saw anything in it that gave me even the slightest wow factor . I ordered 1000p and PW and when I tried the 1000p the PW went on the back burner and stayed there .

After this thread I'm getting the 1000p itch and just may have to break it out again and start layering it on.

Is your PW somewhat intact? How old is it?

Hi Bence,

If you were asking me, I got my tin about 4 years ago or so. Still in good shape.

1000P has a brighter shine, but 476S has lasted longer for me. After a hard winter here, and a spring full of rainy weather, I clayed my 5 month old application of 476S. Ran out of time, didn't get to wax. Rained twice and the beading was still outstanding, although the slickness was long gone. Sloshed some 845 on today, slickness renewed !
