Fixing the Hazy / Smokey Look

Just One More Coat
Some time back I started a thread about how I could see a hazy / smokey look on my car the day after I sealed, glazed, wax, whatever....Yesterday I was working on my car polished and glazed..then decided to let it set over night so that I could use some Natty's on it today...I pulled the car into the light and no smokey look why?

I know that a cold water bath right after would harden the oils that was causing the smokey look...I hate to get the whole car wet again, so I decided to get a spray bottle with ice cold water...after I was finished, I sprayed down a panel at a time and wiped the car down...no smokey look at all today...I figured out how to fix the problem

OK I got a lot of looks at this thread but no posts....just as an update its Thursday...5 days after I glazed and waxed....there is no signs of that hazing / smokey look that I had seen on my car before...

I'm convinced that the cold water right after is the trick to getting the oils to harden quicker.

This is a jet back car so lots show up on it compared to other colors.

Now I keep a spray bottle of water in the refer.

Ok you mentioned when you sealed, glaze, or wax you would get the smokey look? So is the problem not letting one of the steps cure/set up before you top it with another product? When you use the cold water it allows you to proceed to your next step right away then?

Since I have never experienced this, I had no comment at that time.
Since it seems to be a consistent problem for you, maybe it is something in either your particular process or the products you are using.
I have had many black cars, some very dark Maroon and some very dark blue vehicles and haven't had any problem with any of the many LSPs I have used.

Have you changed products or your process since buying the black car?
I can't imagine you wouldn't have noticed hazing on almost any color of previous cars, Even white and silver would most likely show a haze if one was there.

A slight correction.
I did have a problem when I applied Meguiar's Medallion Paint Protection over 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. The problem went away when I washed off the glaze.
Aren't you now using a glaze quite often?
Could there be a connection?
