First weekend w/ PC

I recently bought a PC and the edge 2000 pad set. This weekend was my first time using it and I really like the results I got from it, but I was wondering if there is a quicker way to apply the different products? The total process (applitcation and removal) seems a little quicker because the product is a lot easier to remove, but it takes a while to put the product on. I keep the bottle w/ me and add new wax after each section, but it's old having to reapply over and over again. Any help is appreicated!

I'm kinda confussed about what your asking, but I'll give it a shot. When dealing with products for paint correction your not going to be able to speed up the process because its going to take time to break the product down to get the best results. It's also best to work one section at a time. For lsp's you can apply the product all they way down the vehicle and then work it in as you go. I hope this helps.
 
If you're working one section at a time, then stop and check your work with halogen lights. If it's to your satisfaction then you can continue, repeat or change to a more aggressive pad.

If it seems "too long" it's either because the entire car is in poor condition (happens with the first polish) or you are devoting as much time to the "good" sections as you are to the "bad" ones. That's why you work in small sections. I find that using the "catsup dispenser" bottles to dispense product (look on Poor Boys etc) speeds up the process. I also prep the pad with water every 10-15 sections which seems to move things along a bit as well as far as spreading.

Take heart in knowing that with experience and a maintained car comes speed. Another option is to move to a circular polisher with 8" pads, but the learning curve can be steep.

It's not easy but I find it relaxing and calming. Turn up your Ipod and have fun knowing you are doing something constructive.
 
This is one of those things that you really can't go around. A few tips though... You can put a line of polish on the up coming panels and once you're done one you can move to the next without turn off the machine. Be careful because it may splatter if you don't do it right. Just don't go for too long without removing the product. Some, when dried onto the car for an extended period of time, can be a little difficult to remove. Or you could bribe a significant other / friend / kid etc. to follow you with a MF towel so you can just concentrate on the polish and not about removing it. Just a few thoughts.
