so i just ordered a lot of products to detail my car, and i decided to go with the zaino lineup. i have a few scratches that i'm going to touch-up and then its time to wash and detail, how should i go about doing this? should i use some sort of polish before i use the ZFX5/2? there aren't many swirl marks as i can see, but after touching up/sanding down, what should i use to cover up the swirls around the touched up area? and will my zaino not bond with that polish? please advise... thanks

Are you going to apply touch-up/wet-sand, repaint part of the car, or wet-sand? Probably we are in a situation where semantics could cause a misunderstanding/misinformation issue to arise. What did you order, and what do you plan to accomplish? More information is needed.

Sanding your paint is something pretty drastic to have to do before a detail... Do you have areas requiring touching up (down to primer/bare metal?) It sounds like you have ordered Z5, Z2Pro, ZFX. You will need a paint polish to smooth the swirls, it sounds like. Why not wait a couple weeks and order some of the new Zaino Paint Polish that will be out shortly.

Do you plan on using a machine? Or are you polishing by hand? If you are hand polishing, then you must select polishes made to allow you to hand polish. AIO (Klasse) would work,( if you dont want to wait for the Zaino product ) since you say you have mild swirls... First and foremost however, download this: http://autopia.org/modules.php?s=&name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=1

I Hope this helps :xyxthumbs

hi, thanks for the reply... I have a few minor scratches that i have to touch up, and i'm suppose to sand down the touchup after right? i ordered the whole zaino set, its claybar z2 zfx z5 z6 z7

now when i finish touching up and then sanding down the touchup, should i just use a scratch remover around that area? and then should i get another sort of polish for the rest of the car? or should i just get the same polish for the same car. and will zaino bond well to these polishes?
