So it was my first time with the PC today, I borrowed my girlfriends trunk (2002 Ford Escort) and tested it out.
I only had a short amount of time, but I think I have a feel for it now at least.
Products used:
CG Medium Compound:
Orange Pad
Yellow Pad
Blue Pad
I started out with the orange pad at speed 5 and worked the compound until only a slight haze remained.
Then I surveyed how many scratches and swirls I removed. Not too many, so I did another pass with the orange, this time at speed 6. Nope, nothing. So I bumped it up to yellow at speed 6 and went very very slowly, this got a good amount out but a few still remained. I imagine I would be able to get the rest out with another full pass or two.
Is ford paint typically hard? I felt like it was taking a lot to make a dent.
Her trunk (like the rest of her car) is just riddled with scratches and swirls.
