First time with rotary... Need critique please

This is the first time I tried the rotary, went from a UDM.







Car is an 06 Explorer...







Process:







ONR



Prep-All (Wall Mart brand)



SIP x2 CSS Orange 5.5 inch (only size I had)



106FF X2 CSS White 6.5 inch



Prep-All wipedown



Wolfgang DGPS 1X







I can still see a few scratches here and there, but looks MUCH better and glossier. I did not have more time to do more passes, but was wondering if stepping up to a wool would yield better results. After the 2 passes with SIP, I could still see some webbing. What would everyone suggest? I tried to apply zero pressure with the rotary. Would a little pressure help with the scratches? The SIP also wanted to hop around, grab and dry quickly, the 106FF was smooth and worked well Here are some shots.

Very good results!



SIP is known for being finicky, especially with foam pads. It will put up much less of a fight if you use wool with it. Alot of us around these parts love to use LC's Purple Foamed Wool (PFW) with SIP. It cuts very fast, finishes down well, and takes the fight out of SIP.
 
looks pretty good man. Little pressure, prime pad, not too much, keep machine moving medium fast, 1800 rpms. I don't use wool personally, I prefer foam (i like the way it soaks the polish). Menzerna polishes are top notch IMO. Tilt the machine, rotary 101 with a foam pad, especially concave pads.
 
Like others have already said, purple foamed wool would give you better results but if you don't have one you're almost there with 2 passes - try 3 or 4 and I bet you'll get them all out.



Personally, I do exert some pressure on problem areas but lighten up as I spin it down to prevent hologramming.
