first time wash?

just recieved my g37 3days ago and i was wondering how long do i have to wait to wash the car? i heard its 1~3 months but anyone confirm? im planning to use Mr. cleans autodry for the first wash, so i dont put swirls into it, but can anyone confirm how long do i have to wait till i wash my new car?

You can wash your car as soon as you get it. You shouldn't wax too early, though. However, if the car's paint was sprayed 1-2 months ago, then you'll be fine.



There's no guarantee that you won't induce swirls just because you use Mr. Clean's autodry. Make sure you are gentle and you are using the correct wash/dry media.
 
I use the Mr Clean autodry for only the drying part, wash with 2 buckets with Danase Gloss Amplifying Shampoo and the combo works great for me. What color is your G37? would like to see some pic's of it (great looking ride).
 
Just make sure use some WW MF towels for drying, because black shows everything, i use Phat towels from Danase and so far no problems. But i don't know if your paint finish is hard or soft so be careful when drying. Bet it's a sweet ride you got there!:bigups

First of all, that car was made in Japan, so it was likely sprayed 1-2 months ago anyway. But you could have waxed that the day it came out of the factory--FACTORY PAINT IS FACTORY BAKED and completely dry/cured when it rolls out of the plant. They bake the paint at high temperatures (much higher than a body shop) because they do it before all the rubber, plastic, fabric, GASOLINE is in the car.
 
great thanks, i just went out to my local autobarn and bought the Mr.Clean AutoDry Carwash System and i also bought a Genuine Sheepskin wash&polish mitt for washing the car, is this mitt good for washing swirl free, also whats the techique washing the car with a mitt? do i go in circles, or up and down? or just go over it gently? soo confused im a first timer washing a car without having swirls, i did many cars before but didnt care much for swirls lol. I also bought the Meguiars Water Magnet (microfiber drying towel) i dunno but i think this will make swirls, it has waffle textures.

^^ wow thanks that helped me out alot, the person in the video used a lamb mitt but i have a Genuine Sheepskin wash&polish mitt should i go back and change it or should i stick with this? and whats the differnce between the two?
