I use meguires step 1,2,3. Applying the polish worked well but removing the residue did not. No matter how much i tried to get the polish off, it still had resiude. One thing i screwed up on was using the polish pad for my wax, it was a accident. Now my paint looks like crap. Its very hazy. What would be the best way to fix this? Also do you have any tips? I have 2 polishing pads, 2 finishing pads and 2 light cutting pads.

what process were you using to remove the residue? turn the MF towel often...and hit it with a little QD if needed.

I assume MF means microfiber. What does QD mean. I was removing the residue with another pad, im probably doing it wrong. Whats the best way to wash these pads. I may just start over.

QD is short for a Quick Detail spray, such as this product by Meguair's that you can get OTC:

You should have used a quality MF (micro fiber) to remove the polish by hand instead of another pad.

I initially wash my pads in whatever is left in the car wash bucket, and then use some Dawn dish washing liguid on them if needed. Make sure you rinse them out well, and you can speed up the drying process by blotting them dry on a clean towel.

I haven't used the Meg's 1,2,3 system so I can't help you out much on the exact process you should have used.
