first thread on there...

EDIT: MODS PLEASE CHANGE TITLE TO SAY "here" or "this section" instead of "there"

I THINK I WAS THINKING OF BOTH HERE AND THIS SECTION SO IT ENDED UP BEING THERE

THANKS

well, since i tend to try out different products and methods on my parents' cars, this isn't the whole car detail, but it shows what could/will be accomplished on the whole car

my dad's car 2002 toyota camry, some kind of blue... hood and rear panel

pics are each before then after,etc..

hood: (i know i kinda cheated in the last shots but the sun already went down so i couldn't get a pic of it shining directly on the paint)

before (pretty deep scratch)

after (scratch is somewhere in the next 2 pics, got it out pretty good... i'm sure with a tripod and good light i can take a pic of the still showing a little, but it is all blue now and noticeable from 5-6 inches away only)

before (no idea how these got there)

after (all gone)

Process:

I used a rotary with the 7.5 multi surface or whatever they’re called pads

car was already washed….

Clay

Meg’s #2 on whole area x1

Meg’s #4 on deeper scratches

Meg’s #2 again x2 for better finish

Meg’s #9 x2 on a couple areas (left a great finish)

Meg’s #3 x1 entire area

Meg’s wax… one that is 3rd in the 3 step process

What do you guys think??

Excellent job, looks like you got all the swirls!

You sure put a lot of polishing into that car, the after shots with the lights look superb. Any full car shots you can post?

thanks... i didn't post any full car shots because only that panel and the hood are detailed... i might wash it and QD and then take pics of the whole car so you can see the comparison, hopefully in the sun... i'm too busy these days but i'll try and do it asap since i think it'll be a great comparison

they were kinda bad in some areas

i have to get a pic in the sun of the whole car, with only parts fully detailed, others just washed haha
