Let's get the one hand job out of the way first. ;) 1999 Toyota Solara. Vanilla Moose and EX-P:

First PC shot is my hood, using Vanilla Moose and the white polishing pad (PC on 5) and topping with Poorboy's EX-P. I wanted to get some full car shots, but it started raining about 5 minutes later. :(

Here is a 1996 Mercedes E320 that I have been waxing 3-4 times a year since it was new. Vanilla Moose, white polishing pad, PC on 5, topped with EX-P

Here is his wife's 1999 Land Cruiser, same routine:

Yes, I did go over the running board again!

you dam MAN Scott!

My PC should be here on Wed (May 5) Can't wait to learn how to use it. . .

Here is my Dad's 626. I had DACP, SFP, PwC and CMW-ed it around Thanksgiving. Still looked pretty good and was beading nicely. Still, it had some scratches that hadn't come out completely by hand.

Poorboy's SSR2 with orange cutting pad, PC on 5-6, Vanilla Moose with white polishing pad, PC on 5 and applied EX-P with the grey finishing pad, PC on 4.

I did this 2000 Mercedes C240 the other day, just as it sat in the sun. About 75 degrees and partly cloudy, so the paint was pretty warm (but not so hot you couldn't put your hand on it). Use Poorboy's PwC with the white polishing pad and the PC on 5. Finished with EX-P.

This is the trunk lid of a C280. It is a bit dark, the lighting under this guy's carport isn't very good.

Before:

After SSR2 with orange cutting pad, PC on 6 and PwC with white polishing pad and PC on 5:

Even though it is dark, you can see how the trunk lid was cleaned up.

Oh yeah, another hand job! 2001 Toyota Highlander. Clayed and waxed with Grojet2000. Had light overspray, boss was only paying for its removal and one step wax.

Great pics Scott. I knew you would like the PC once you got to using it. Your combinations of products are outstanding. Did you use any other cleaner polish before using your combination. Such as Menzerna or Meguiar's.

Wow Scott your details look incredible. Especially your car, it looks really good. VM/EX-P seems to be another 1 of your winning combos.

btw that first pic is a solora not a camry;)

Glad you like it Scott. However, personally, I still prefer waxing by hand. It takes me longer with the PC.

Remember to try out #80 Speed Glaze with an orange or white pad! I'm telling you! Top that with a glaze and #16.

I wish the cars I do can be prepped only with VM prior to wax :(

Nice work :xyxthumbs

I'll get around to speed glaze one of these days. I just have so much other stuff on hand now I want to use some of it up.

After using the PC to wax the 626, I agree, you can wax faster by hand.

Yeah, I should know that it is a Solara and not a Camry.

The world

Has come

to an end :scared

LOL just kidding Scott. I'm not so sure that you can wax faster by hand than with the PC, I think it really depends on what you're using paste vs. liquid, polymer vs carnuaba. I've found that the PC makes spreading liquid waxes (EX, NXT, #26) much easier, but its really not worth the hassle to try and use it with a paste wax unless its something hard to deal with like Collinite 476 or something. I rarely use paste waxes myself so I almost exclusively use the PC. I did a VW Cabrio yesterday that I waxed with #16 by hand, it was the first time in...a long time. Came out well (I'll post pics)

And technically it is a "Camry Solara" ;)

Awesome as always!

Scott, as always, very good work.

How do you like the orange cutting pads? And how does SSR2 compare to say, DACP or something of the like? Does it break down well if you work it.

I'm really liking that E-class.

Scott,

Thanks for doing Everyone a Great Service, by posting your work and the products that you use.

My Sig is dedicted to people like you! Thanks for being so Gracious Sensei Scott.

Do you notice a difference in quality when using the PC compared to doing the work by hand? Please articulate.

Actually it is. It is a Camary Solara. That is the full name.
