first post: my new car, what does she need to glow?

heres my new 99 Nissan Maxima GLE, what does she need? note the roof needs something, the big bugger on the roof needs alot, its all the way down to the metal and rusting. i think the dealer covered it up, it showed up after i had it washed the first time. the hood and bumper have a billion little pit marks, found tiny gravel when i changed the bumper lights. windshield needs some work too. if i can get more specific answers with more specific pics, lemme know. these pics were after i had it washed. after reading around here, i know better than what they did. its not going back there!

Did you remove the trunk emblems and reinstall them in a higher position?

Maybe I'm just so used to seeing the 95/96 back end.



Your Max looks pretty good...what have you been using on it? Are there any swirls in the paint that you want to get rid of?
 
i didnt move the emblems. i want to take the hamburger off and move the m-a-x-i-m-a down though, i dont like where they are. ive not done much to it yet, only had it since april. did the tails and the bumper lights, rewired the corner light, put in a fstb. maxima.org is a great place white95max, if you havent already discovered it.



ive not been using anything on it yet. and no, no swirls really that ive noticed. some might pop up at me once i get into it though. i did use scratch x on the headlights tho, they looked really really bad, now they just look 6 years old.
 
I say use NXT with a good carnuaba layered on top. #26 works really well. You might not have glamorous results with the carnuaba with that color paint, but it is worth a shot at least.
