I recently got a G110 and some Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover with a Orange pad. After washing and claying, I started polishing. I put a dime size amount of the Pinnacle on the pad and spread it around. I then put the G110 to 3 and spread it some more. After a couple passes, I increased the speed to 5 and started to polish. I worked the polish in until it broke down. I wasn't really sure when this was and started trying different lengths of time working the polish. Sometimes when I worked it for a while I started getting a fine dust. Is this a sign or working the polish too long or is this normal?
Also, after working the polish and removing with a MF cloth, I noticed that there were still swirls. This is a two year old Chevy Avalanche that has never had anything like this done to it. Only washes, both hand and brushless car wash and maybe a coat of cheap wax about a year and a half ago. Using the lights, I could still see small scratches in the paint and it was not a mirror-like finish. Is this indicative of needing something more aggressive? If so, what would be the next aggressive polish and pad?
